I'm totally new to this blogging thing.
A little over a week ago I created a blog about Corvettes: history, reader's photos, trivia, help, etc. I've had a lot of visitors, but I'm not sure I'm going about it the right way. Obviously, I'd like to have more, just like everyone else.
Than created a second one. It's based on my memories from the 1950s when I was growing up.
I'm not sure about the advertising and what's the best way to handle that either.
So any advice from you more experience bloggers would be welcomed.
Oh, today I posted about the 1983 Corvette, of which only one remains.

Does "within the last 24 hours" count as "today"? If so, I guess my weekly book review (http://www.nicholastam.ca/2008/09/24/wednesday-book-club-le-ton-beau-de-marot/) counts. As I was writing it, it spun so far out of control that I had to break it into sections. Apparently, my readers don't like blocks of text in 3500-word chunks.
I linked to Heather's (Clara Bow's) Steampunk Festival (http://the-walrus-said.blogspot.com/2008/09/steampunk-festival.html) and did a follow-up (http://the-walrus-said.blogspot.com/2008/09/aftermath-of-luther-college-incident.html) on the gunman at my alma mater.

I wrote a review and essay about the memoir "Three Little Words" by Ashley Rhodes-Courter, in which I learn a few lessons about her life and about the techniques writers can use to turn life into story.

Did I update my blog today? Well, uh, I meant to, honest. But you see:
I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!
Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Deidre Knight has some good points to make about writer confidence. Of course I highlights via a post to Kristin Nelson's blog.
