Whoops - The Poetry Forum is password-protected now -- the password is citrus.
It says so on the main page, for future reference. Should've mentioned that next to the link, eh?
You'll see the rest of the contest details in the thread itself.

I can't get in to the forum at all....it tells me that "citrus" is invalid.

I've not been able to reproduce that error. Is anyone else having difficulties?
If we can't resolve this amongst us, let's take this question to the Tech Help forum.

Unbelievable!
The redoubtable Jason Tudor (jst5150) has just added TWO more prizes to the contest purse:
- US$25
- A copy of Vibrating Moonlight (http://www.lulu.com/content/505096), his recently-released book of poems
Jason is already maintaining the AW Calendar and contributing prolifically to the Poetry Forum. All this while stationed in the Middle East with the military.
Thank you, Jason.

I know I am pretty low on the food chain, but how 'bout the next be about new years for next month?? The Valentine stuff I think Hallmark and American Greetings have a good handle on that.... Or there could be an Un-Valentine's day contest....

Ha! Do I love the idea of an anti-Valentine's Day poetry contest! A 'Love Stinks' challenge. hee hee
And nobody's low on the food chain here. We're all pretty tasty.

I know a lot of people who hate Valentine's Day because they've either got no special person in their lives or just broke up with someone, divorced someone, etc.
It is true that when you're say just starting a relationship and you go to find a card most of them are all lovey-dovey, you're the most important person in my life, etc., and you really can't say that yet because you've just started dating.
And then there are married couples who've been married FOREVER who just barely like each other, so they're not crazy about Valentine's Day either.
My sister and I were trying to write break-up cards one time and one of them we wrote was: Roses are red, dead ones are black, now that we've split up I want my shit back!
So yeah, sounds like a good idea for a contest;have people write break-up verses or glad you're not my Valentine cards.
