From Published Novel to Movie Rights?

My novel is out, thrilled about it. Yet it has been written with an edge towards film (heavy dialog, action).

I am not represented but I did land a publisher and get a novel onto the shelves, nationally in hardcover. What is my next step to secure movie rights for this book?

The next step to secure the movie rights to your own novel? Assuming you didn't sign them away to the publisher, just sit back and relax. You've already got them.

heavy dialogue is not designed for film. you'll need to fix that. i suggest you invest in a couple of "adaptation" screenwriting books and learn how to write the proper script execution.

Yes, I should have mentioned that. I land 80% of movie right revenue, so, naturally, I am interested in that step.
