Sometimes the moderators are even more diabolical than I am.

On William's way out, he asked us to consider poetinahat to take over as the poetry mod.

We discussed it and overwhelmingly agreed. Some people pondered whether or not he'd accept if we asked him. One supermod said, "What's all this about asking him?" and a mod who shall remain nameless said:

"I say add him to the list, slap his name on the forum as mod, and see how long it takes for him to notice that he can see the squad room..."

I wrung my little hands together and did just that.

Hi, Rob.

We love you.

Considering your name's already on the door an' stuff... won't you please be our new poetry mod?

Good thing he accepted. It's a real pain trying to scrape off those names once they're chiseled on there...

I've splurged and ordered a collar with Swarovski crystal for him.

Well Rob, what diabolical plans have you for the forum? This should be interesting. It could be no one else, bud. You shall reign supreme. Enjoy the all amazing, incredibly awesome cosmic power! (and the itty bitty living space). Oh wait, that's the Genie. Forget that part. Have fun and have fun keeping us in line! **insert evil grin here**

PS Should I call you Mr. Poet now?

No fair!

I've been here a long time and mine's just made of sea glass and rubber!

I demand an upgrade.

(But I am absolutely and poetically pleased that Rob has accepted. Now I can harrass him in public more.)

I just want to clarify: We don't have to start calling him "Poet in a Crown" now do we?

Or is it "Poet in a Mitre?"

Yes! mr. poetinahat. Good choice Jenna and the mods. Good choice indeed.

He'll be a great mod.

Welcome, Poet.

(Everyone should be gentle with him for the next couple of days. He'll be disoriented for a little while yet.)

The special Mod Kool-aid has that effect on a lot of us. He'll get used to it... ;)

You other mods are going to short-sheet him, aren't you?

Rule wisely, Rob. Here's some tissue to stuff in the toes of the shoes you have to fill. You'll only need it for a short while, I'm sure--an intended compliment to both william and you. Congrats.

We are in good hands (a little Jurgens lotion and all).

Don't worry everyone. Poetiunchapeau didn't leave. New Mods become a little preoccupied when they first discover that they can view everyone in the naked mode.

Give him 'till the end of the week.

And as one of his first acts, Rob is letting no-bid contracts to Mother Goose and Halliburton's "Nursery" division.

Rob, absolutely the right choice as a moderator for this board. You're brillaint, insightful and have an even hand when laying the smack down (err, critiquing) on people's work.

I just want to clarify: We don't have to start calling him "Poet in a Crown" now do we?

Or is it "Poet in a Mitre?"

"Poet in a Tiara" would do quite nicely. :D

Congrats, Rob. You deserve it.

I hate conspiracies, but in the case I acquiesce; and rejoice in the wisdom of Jenna and her minions.

Good job Poet!
