Lad-Lit

Anyone know the current status of Lad-lit? I know a few years ago it was hot, then it crashed, but where does it stand now? Is it even still a genre or did it get absorbed into mainstream.

Rachel Vater http://raleva31.livejournal.com/ wrote that she tried and failed to sell a lad lit manuscript. She said by the time she shopped it around, the market was gone.

She's just one agent, though, so keep inquiring. Maybe consider approaching it from another genre angle. ??
