I was discussing the Santa Claus concept with my somewhat precocious five-year-old niece this Christmas, and the conversation went something like this:
Me: Do you know about Santa Claus?
Her: Yes, he brings toys to good little boys and girls.
Me: And do you know where he lives?
Her: He lives in Twan.
Me (taken aback): In Twan? How do you know?
Her: Because that’s where he makes the toys.
Me: Are you sure?
Her: Yes, I’ll show you.
So she went and got several of her toys and sure enough they all said “Made in Taiwan.”
