My husband and I have created a web app that can create and .epub and .mobi files using only your browser.
The text is in markdown (don't worry, it's not hard and there is a quick cheat sheet) and it creates an epub (passes the error check) and a mobi file in minutes.
We are currently in a closed beta, by invitation only and would love to get some feedback from people on the WC.
