I'm not certain if this is the right forum for this, so move it if need be.

I just read an article in the local paper about a new app in the Apple Store. It's called Reading Racehorse. Basically, the app is designed to help a child learn how to read but it doesn't read the entire story. The child touches a word and it is spoken out loud. I'm pretty sure it's not incredibly groundbreaking or anything, but I thought it was neat. The only source for info I could find was www.readingracehorse.com

It's always great when people can help kids to read.

Yeah, it reminds me of the leappad which really helped my daughter learn to read. Also video games with text dialog...just tell them you won't read the screen and they need to read to. Know how to play / what's going on in the game. That got my nephew reading right quick.
