About three weeks ago, I queried an agent who said she enjoyed my sample pages and would like to read more -- if I cut down the word count by about 10k.

Immediately, I got to work, revised the manuscript, sent it away to one of my beta readers, and I'm applying the changes my beta suggested this week.

So I'm going to be resubmitting soon, and I have no idea how to do that. Do I send her the same query I caught her eye with, but add a note reminding her that she asked me to cut down the word count? Or will that look too "copy-and-pasted"?

Thanks for your help :)

Best IMO is to reply to the previous e-mail. That way she should immediately recognize it's an ongoing thing and she'll be reminded of how she felt about it by being able to read her own words.
