If I kept lurking and reading threads without registering, the Powers What Am would probably have been justified in charging me rent. Therefore, I thought I'd do this properly. And then... continue to lurk and read threads, because it's what I do.
I'm M. Chandler. I live in Seattle and I write on the internet. No, seriously: my writing is all available on my website for free. To make a long story short, the books on my website are my first efforts, my 'trunk novels'; it's just that, instead of putting them in a trunk, I put them on the internet.
I also offer paperback copies/PDFs for sale through Lulu for anyone who might like to have my work in a different format. It's worked surprisingly well for me so far.
I'm currently at work on two things: the last two short pieces for an upcoming collection and another book. I plan to shop the book to agents once it's all finished and edited and polished up, assuming that I think it's good enough to show around. If not, it goes on my website and on Lulu, and I try again!
