Edu Backlicks

Anybody know what edu backlinks are and how I get them? Backlicks? What are backlicks?

Backlinks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backlink) are links from other people's blogs or web pages to your own. The article I linked is a big boring reference on the topic. The .EDU suffix on a domain name indicates an EDUcational resource, typically a university or college of some kind. The more people that link to your work, the more likely a search engine like Google will see your page as being important. That means you will appear in the first page of results when someone searches for you.

In order to get them, you would need people at schools with an .edu domain (like stanford.edu) to make web pages that linked to you.

As for backlicks, I have no idea. I think you have to be 18+ and pretty darn flexible for that kind of activity.

I do believe that a "backlink" is just a link from someone else's site to yours, as opposed to a link on your site that goes forward to someone else's.
