Any freelance copy writers with tech specialty out there?

Hi,

I'm new to AW--directed here by my daughter who is a writer and loves the site. Hello everyone.

My work for a technology services company includes some writing, which is a task I usually enjoy, but I'm overloaded right now and looking for help on specific projects. Outsourcing the copy for our marketing brochure would be first. Updating the copy on the website would be another.

Is this a good forum for finding someone? If not, would someone please direct me to a job board where I could post the specifics? A writer who is fairly astute with advanced technology solutions and who also has a dry wit about them would be ideal.

Also, any advice on how to structure the job/contract so that it's fair and balanced and recommendations on the going rate for this type of writing would be appreciated.

Regarding the contract structure, that would be worked out according to the discussion between you and whomever contacts you about this job.

One other thing: both forums require that you post an amount in your thread title. Perhaps an ideal cost, if you don't have the market rates.
