Hi, am new here and trying to find my way around. It looks like a great place to be.
Am still pondering as to whether to self-publish my YA novels and hope that I'll find answers here somehow.
As a procrastinator by trade, while pondering, I opened a blog about epublishing, which gives me the excuse to interview successful self-published writers about their publishing journey.
Also compiling a list of epublishing houses with ratings based on Internet searches and contact with authors when possible.
Any feedback, correction, additional info on these is very welcome.
So, thanks to all, looking forward to meeting you.

My advice is, if your books can sell, sell them.

Self-publishing is a hard, often expensive route to take, and it rarely has the sort of rewards you get from commercial publishing.

As to e-presses, you might want to add Lyrical Press. :)

A pleasure to meet you.

My understanding is that those who choose to self-publish need to work harder at the marketing than at the writing--in order to break even, in some cases. So you're wise to seek experiences, good and bad, of those who've gone before you. Which is good advice in any endeavor, I suppose.

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.
