Hello everybody. I'm a Pagan writer, and urban, dark and Steampunk fantasy author, who generally reads the AW forums vs. participating. This is probably one of my primary resources for information on a variety of topics on writing and publishing.

I'm from Massachusetts, but living in England, since my husband is in the Air Force. Other than seeing the world, writing, and homeschooling my son when he's with me (every 4 months; his dad and I share time with the Cuteness equally), I love to read (mostly manga, fantasy, Jane Austen, and Nancy Drew), collect antique books, play video games, and I'm rather genealogy-obsessed. ^.^

Thank you for the welcomes.

Yes, Porter, genealogy. It's like writing in many ways - once I start, I can't necessarily stop. Speaking of writing, I think I had best get to work. ;)

Hi there Wendy, and welcome to the Cooler. I also like genealogy - I've been doing quite a bit of research in a period when I was unemployed, and I've been able to trace back my ancestry until the fourteenth century. Turns out my sister and I are descendants from Robrecht of Bethune, the then Count of Flanders (of course on the wrong side of the bed!), but still...

Welcome from another genealogy buff, now only if I could get it all organized... :)

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Heh. I keep pretty busy. Right now, my son is with his dad, so I've turned into quite the write-a-holic. ;) One manuscript winging its way through cyberspace to a publisher, and working on the second draft of another.

Gotta love those wrong-side-of-the-blanket ancestors. I've got plenty of those as well! It's just too bad that organizing the research isn't quite as much fun as digging up the interesting family stories. ^.^

The welcomes are very much appreciated. I will probably read more than comment/participate, but I thought I would give a little "hullo".

Oh, my attempts to write are also often "assisted" by the black-headed caique on my laptop. Typos are not my own, but to be blamed on the bird. Heh.

Thanks everybody. ^.^
