Hey, I saw this forum on someone's blog, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was a very active member on Writer's Cafe, but when it crashed, I gave up. Plus, it's very amateur.

I have a degree in creative writing/English and am hoping to get into an MFA program soon. I started out with creative nonfiction and dabbled in poetry, then one day, I just sat down and out popped the first three chapters of a novel. Like Toni Morrison said, I wanted to read my novel badly, so I decided to keep on typing. I'm now a little over halfway though, I'd guess. Now, I know I'm much better at fiction than anything else and am working to get some of my short stories published in literary journals.

Can't wait to read everyone's writing!

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise How do you like your popcorn?

If you, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.
