Scifiction (http://www.scifi.com/scifiction/), hosted by scifi.com (http://www.scifi.com/), will be discontinued in Jan 2006.
I don't know if I fully understand why they would do this considering the many awards the online mag garnered. I guess to save money to dump it into more dumb made-for-tv movies. Whatever.
Another good market down the drain. Any thoughts?

I learned it through Brian Keene's blog (http://www.hailsaten.blogspot.com/) and checked it out myself at the Scifiction site. Ellen has a goodbye letter. :(

Whew! I thought they were discontinuing the PRINT mag when I first read your post! I'm sorry to see the on-line site go, though. It was a terrific site. I'll drop them a feedback. Thanks for the info!

Didn't mean to give you a heart attack. Wonder if we can get Jenna to install a defillabrator forum...

Sorry to hear that. It's always sad when an online-mag we love goes under.

Well, you can't make money by giving something away. SCIFICTION was a freebie, so every penny NBC put into it was lost. Sooner or later, they had to get tired of putting money in and getting nothing back.

Well that sucks. They've had some damn good stories on the site.
