Hello everybody

Hey guys, the name's Dara and I'm from Long Island. I have been lurking around here for about a year. I have just finished revising my first novel for the fourth time and have worked on this sole project for the last 20 months. I spent a whole year revising and have bettered my writing because of it. I graduated with a BA in psychology, a chemistry minor, and took premedical courses. This fall I'll be either attending Villanova or Stony Brook to further my medical studies and hope in a year's time to attend either Harvard or UPenn's medical program. Tomorrow, I'm sending out a wave a queries so wish me luck please and now that I've said "I "about two thousand times and have given you my life story, I hope you will welcome into your community with open arms. I am willing to take advice and listen to what others have to say.

Thank you everybody. As I embark on my wave of queries today, I expect rejections but having lurked here for a year, I've learned I have to balance out high hopes and realistic expectations. I've seen those stories on here where people started writing out of nowhere and believe they have the best story ever (to the point they query only their dream agent) and WHAM rejection. I hope for success and whatnot but like I said, I'll be realistic

Hello everyone. I'm back after a extremely long hiatus, which had me fighting swamp creatures on a nearby planet. I missed it here, can't wait to be able to contribute again, and hope you guys haven't made too much of a mess of things since I've been gone...just kidding
