I told an editor I would do revisions and get them to her within an hour. I was done with writing, proofing, and rewriting within about 15 minutes (on a 2000 word article, minor revisions). I then spent half an hour playing sudoku, reading the news, and trying to waste time without walking away from my computer (because then I risk spacing out and missing my hour mark).

I've turned revisions around in 15 minutes before and gotten yelled at for "not taking it seriously". The same revisions an hour later? Or a day or two? Praise-worthy. Being fast is really an interesting problem to have.

Interesting. I worry about those kinds of things too. You could set a timer for an hour so that you wouldn't be chained to your computer. :)

Great problem to have! Have you always written and edited quickly, or is this something that you developed over time? If so, did you intentionally work on your speed?
