Hi Everybody!

I'm new here and totally overwhelmed with all the stuff to read here (and excited of course).

I'm a ghostwriter who primarily does web content but I want to do more book ghostwriting. I'm here to learn, and also help out wherever I can, chat with other writers, waste time when I should be working, etc.

I live in Chiba, Japan, just outside of Tokyo, and writing about Japan is one of my passions. Other fave topics are language learning and expat stuff. I also write fiction and song lyrics (mostly for bands in Tokyo).

Okay, that's enough; this isn't my user profile! Anyway, I'm looking forward to spending some serious time here hanging out. Thanks in advance for all the info I'm about to delve into!

Welcome.

I took a class in Japanese many years ago, but I've forgotten most of it.

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Thanks a lot everybody! You all are cool.

Yeah, these days songs are most of what I write. I think songwriting gives you an immediate kick - you write it and then you can play it. Plus it's cool to hear a band playing in front of a bunch of people and the singer's singing your words.

Youkoso Greg :) I'm an expat living in Mexico, and definitely understand liking to write about it.

I had never thought about writing lyrics for bands here, there's a number of them that enjoy singing songs in English though. I might have to give that a shot, since I already write lyrics for my own songs. Thanks for the idea!

I hope you're able to find more lengthy ghost writing jobs, and look forward to seeing you as I lurk around the cooler.
