So not sure how much anyone cares, but figured I'd say "hi" as instructed.

Let's see, I'm 30, from California (have lived all over the world) and have been writing semi seriously since I was 15. I've published a bit (mostly non-fiction), been in critique groups, etc. and figured I'd check it out over here. So...hello!

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Awesome, thanks. Although I'm not sure when I'll do Share Your Work (if ever). I'm mostly just enjoying the forums as of now. ;)

It's pretty much my life dream to live in London (aside from publishing my novels of course)! :)

welcome! and do you have any critique groups to recommend? i've been looking for a good one :)

For science fiction, fantasy, and horror, Critters is THE critique group. (www.critters.org) (At the very least, it's the oldest and the best I've fun into.)

For non-speculative fiction, www.critiquecircle.com is decent.

A few float about other areas. Livejournal has a few. I haven't tried "the-write-away", but a few people seem to like it. I'm working on starting up my own (we'll see how that goes). There are always in person ones, but I've never found one that works for me time wise.
