Some call me a writer I call myself a believer. My name is Danielle Drake and my writer's alter-ego is Drakend. I love to write been doing it since I was in the third grade kid stories, novels, plays etc. I wrote my first play in high school, I won 4th place in the young writers completion. Until this day my grammar isn't any better that's because my thought, comes out faster than I can type.
Well, we face challenges in life and mines was blocking my destiny of becoming a Great Writer. I will never say I'm better than this person or that I just love what I do; and it loves me back. Over the years I heard your writing is really great even people I've never might who I posted my work on blogs but never proceed to do anything about my career/dream of becoming a writer.
Until, now I couldn't take it no more I wanted my family to be proud of me on something I've completed besides school. Plus I have a loving husband (newly weds )who supports me on anything I want. and if he could make it possible he does and I love him more than the words in Webster.
I've been in Philadelphia Pa my entire life. I love Philadelphia and everything about my city. Philly is very out there not because of the fans because we represent our city very well. You may have those who needs more life lessons but that's everywhere.
As of yet no children one day I will have 1 but knowing my hubby and God I be the one with two sorry folks two is enough for me. I will be 28 years old in July a cancer (zodic signs) on the forum .
My genre of writing is Afro american books. However I think my books can be for anyone that likes a little comedy and fun and maybe some tears. I write about life and people I know. If I come across something in my lifetime that seems interesting it's on a piece of paper in a sec(just that simple ...lol). I'd observe, any and everything life is something else and we all should be happy that we have a chance to experience life.
I worked at the Philadelphia zoo I went to manor college for animal science and behavior. At any moment I could get a job working on my field as a veterinarian assistant and some say "it sounds like a fun job". It's very rewarding I will help any pet or animal in need but, I love writing I don't want to get rich. I just want my passion on paper so one day my legend on being a great writer can live on.
What brings me to absolutewriters.com well an editor. She said go on here and shop around for critics and advice about your novel. At first I was "Like she doens't know what shes talking about," than she explained to me "If you not willing to get help from your peers (fellow writers) than your book isn't ready" and she absolutely right I have to be ready for the critics and all the good advice on making my book into something I know it can be my legend.
So thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope everyone can show me some love.
