I've been reading here for quite a while and finally decided to join. I've tried other writers sites that weren't what you'd call user friendly, so this is a pleasant contrast. For one thing, your post is published right away, and doesn't have to be moderated first. That is so annoying.

Absolute Write.
Members who want to start a thread in Share Your Work to have work critiqued need
50 posts. So take some time to greet fellow newbies, critique other members’

A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

I like the software here too. On one of the other sites, the software's not working out at all. It makes everyone crabby.

Yeah, it sort of left me feeling like a second class citizen, because I was a new member. I was "under suspicion" it seemed, of heaven knows what. Thanks to everyone here for the warm welcome. I needed a little cheering up, after the negative experience.

Welcome Michele. Sorry about your bad experience. It makes me wonder why a site would hang onto software that is causing so many problems? Or is it just that the admins there don't now how to configure it properly?
