Mostly the novels board is for questions and discussion concerning writing. There is a welcoming commitee over in the Newbie forum. (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27)

Welcome to AbsoluteWrite! Feel free to peruse the boards. There is quite a bit of expertise and experience to share.

Curious - how does one know how many people have viewed a thread?

You can tell how many viewed a thread by looking on the index page (where all the threads are listed). It's the far-right column.

For DramaQueenWrites: Let us know when your story is finished, and if it sells. Novellas are really tough lengths to market.
