Hi everyone,
Thank you for letting me be part of your group. I am a new writer and actually heard back from Tate Publishing regarding the first book I have ever written. I am very excited to share my imagination with people, but really have no idea about publishing a book. :) That is why I have signed on to your group! Any words would be so helpful for this newbie!

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Welcome! Good luck with publishing, definitely make sure to read the boards and see if anyone here has had experiences with the publishers and agents that you are querying. Lots of good input around here. I'm new as well, and have gotten loads of help already :)

AW can be very usefull for you in you career. The fact that you have heard from a publishing house regarding your first work is awsome!

I am currently trying to find a publisher for my book. Expecting the worse, I am also preparing to publish it myself. I have a blog where you might find some good advice about pre'ping your book for publication. My latest post mentions a great book I'm reading about marketing and promoting a novel. Check it out and come share your own words of wisdom.

I have the final pages done on my book and I am so thrilled and excited about it! I would love to hear of some publishing companies that actually pay you. Like I said, Tate Publishing has offered a contract:)

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I can not believe how much information is on your site! Excellent:)
My book, Eliza, is the first in a series and I so excited about it!
Eliza is a 25 year old girl, lives alone with her dog, close to her mother, but is "special" and doesnt find out until her birthday. It has romance, fantasy, action, etc all rolled into one:) It is "Magical" and I am so proud of it.
All help to this very, very, very green author would be awesome!
