I love writing and I love reading what others have to write, so this forum seemed like a great idea.

Working on several projects at the moment. I am unpublished and I have not even sent out queries. I have a dream of being independently published because I love the idea of self marketing and creative control. There are so many options to be weighed though. I look forward to being a part of this community.

I write everything from children's fantasy to suburban zombie stories, I have too many story ideas and need to buckle down on one project.

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Welcome! I just joined recently, myself. I wouldn't worry too much about finding that One Project to commit yourself to. You'll know what it is when you're ready for it. Or when it's ready for you.

Welcome! I just joined too, and let me tell you it's hard to find that One Project. But when you do it's really rewarding to be able to really buckle down and know your stuff.

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Thanks Wendy, I will take your advice to heart.

I have been a very active member of other forums before, after a while the comfort of knowing everyone's inside jokes can really become enjoyable. Always feels weird to begin posting somewhere new. I will let myself do a lot of learning in the first couple months.

I am plugging in with writer haunts early rather than late and also trying to get the hang of other online resources before I actually finish one of my projects. I have a VERY long way to go before I have anything of quality to show anyways.

Look forward to getting to know you all!
