Hello folks,

New registrant here, and I've got a complaint! (Heh):Soapbox:

No, I really don't. I've been kicking around a bunch of sites for years, read a lot of threads here, never registered till now.

I do smile at the "new fish/thick skin" description. My first novel (repped by Christine Witthohn) is titled Diary of a Small Fish, and as it so happens, I have rhinoceros hide.

Anyway, happy to stick around until I earn a stripe or two, and hope I don't get too sucked into the forums that I forget why I'm writing.

See ya around.

Pete

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Oh, Tina, my mother in law would probably love your book in progress. And/or offer helpful suggestions. :) If you need any, let me know and I'll send her your way. She lives in Texas and is an avid butterfly gardener & master naturalist. :)

And welcome Pete. You don't have to live with the new fish designation. I changed mine right away. ;)

I like mine burnt.

I'm not here to get feedback, just to lob grenades and rouse rabble, but I am certainly well-practiced in the pay-it-forward principle. I did a two year sentence at Authonomy, I'm still under house arrest at agentqueryconnect, and am under tight supervised probation at bookshed and writer's asylum.

They can suck you in. I keep getting sidetracked. I may to take my husband up on his offer to install a program on laptop so I can't browse when I'm supposed to be writing. <.<

Welcome!

Greetings and welcome to the watercooler :welcome:

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.
