Hi there! I'm new to this forum, but not new to forums in general.

I'm new-ish to my novel actually progressing (wrote five pages today, thank you) but not new to writing in general.

The sun just briefly came out and warmed me, I'm sitting on my porch while my heathen children run amuck in the back yard, and looking for writerly companionship to while away the minutes til I can get back to my office to write some more of my novel.

But I think they ate all the cookies.

I'm writing mythic (I hope) urban fantasy. More Charles DeLint, less Charlaine Harris style.

My protagonist is a ghost, so gets to meet a bunch of historic ghosts. I'm on page 107 as of today! :)

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Thanks for all the hellos! I will look around. I am way far away from asking anyone to critique my work. I want it to be all one draft before I send anything to anyone, and I'm only about 1/3 of the way through now.

Just lookin' for socializin' for now. :)
