Nice to meet you

I'm a newbie here but not a complete newbie to writing. Not arrived as a writer either. Here to learn, share what others have shared with me along the way.

Personal stuff:
I'm a stay at home mom of 3 little boys. And they are WIDE OPEN ALL THE TIME. My DH works a lot and I write. Thus the coffee addiction. But it's an ok addiction because it makes me a nicer person and is affordable unlike other addictions.

Writing Stuff:
I write YA Paranormal Romance, along with every other writer as I discovered at my first conference last year. I've been studying writing for about 3 years now. Boy can the conflicting "rules" give you wiplash when you're starting out. Now I'm pretty zen about it. Can't please all the people all the time. Take and leave advice as it makes sense to me or fits my genre.

A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Day threads at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Hey VBM,
I have 2 kids, they see me writing all the time and now my 8 year old daughter has started to write a book. I don't know how much I want to encourage that!

I so wish I could become Zen with my writing.
Pffffft! I'm so not zen yet.
