Hello,

I'm glad I found this forum, and I'm looking forward to participating in some of the discussions.

I like to write reviews of gothic novels, especially those from small presses and self-publishers. I do my own writing, too, and I have a novel coming out later this year. It will be my only novel.

It's funny: I wrote this novel back in 2006, and I've spent the last 5 years trying to put it to rest. I want to finish a final copy edit--and then I'm going to publish it and it will be dead. It's ironic really: my ghost story has become a ghost that just won't die. I actually feel in competition with it, like who will bury the other one first.:guns:

Well, it's nice to be here among writers, and if you know of any gothic novels coming out, by all means let me know.

See ya 'round the forum.

Edward

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

It's funny how writing does that :D Some people say they'll stop after they don't make it--and eventually jotting down an idea or two suddenly becomes writing down a chapter or two. You can quit writing, but writing won't quit us!

That is so true.

Thanks for the advice. I probably won't be posting my work here, however. But I'd love to check out some of the other places. And...I like popcorn.

Hi and welcome.

It's the 'putting it to rest' bit that's really tricky. I keep polishing and polishing my manuscript - you'd think it would be shining by now.
Good luck with yours!

Hi there Edward, and welcome to the forums. Most of the time I write historical fiction, but last year I tried my hand at a collection of short stories which are a mix between horror and romance, in a gothic atmosphere. Nobody reviewed them yet, so you're always welcome to share your idea on them.
