Welcome to AW. The "Ask the Agent" section has lots of helpful information on the querying process. You should check it out if haven't already during your time as a "long time lurker."

well, if that Starbucks you're at is in the States, I'm guessing you'd have to yell pretty loud for me to hear you

lol. It's in Australia. I suppose the distance could account for it?

Best of luck with the queries, regardless :)

Welcome!
I'm originally from the UK, but now living in British Columbia... You probably don't have to shout as loudly as Australia for me to hear you - LOL

Have fun, and Good luck!

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Welcome Doobie!

Your name reminds me of a cute story-

Three of my children are girls, each born two years apart. When they were small, instead of saying they "passed gas" or "farted", we would call the event a "doobie". My wife and I thought it was a cute word and it saved on imagined supermaket embarrassment- "Mom, I farted!"

You can imagine how fun it was when a song by the Doobie Brothers played on the radio!

The drawback came several years later when my nearly teenage girls discovered they were speaking a foreign language when they were at school and said: "Excuse me, I doobied."
