That's called AuoComplete. At some point in the past you probably told it not to remember your username and/or password for AW.

It can be a pain in the butt to re-allow one website after you've told it "No". Have you got a lot of other websites where you use AutoComplete? If not, then it's probably easier to delete everything and start all over.

There are also a number of settings under Tools > Internet Options involving AutoComplete. These are probably set okay if AutoComplete works on other websites.

If you want to try to fix the problem with AW, we can try. I'll have to experiment myself since it's been a while since I've done this. It involves editing your registry; which can be dangerous unless it's done correctly. Are you using IE 7 or 8?

By the way, have you considered switching to Firefox?

I have IE 8, and would really like you to find a fix for me when you have time to work it out. Go ahead and edit my registry. It would make no difference to me should reps or post counts need to be re-set to zero.

I have Firefox and have tried it, but it changes way too many other things I need for daily work and communications. The internet is almost the total of my distance communications. Telephones are a big waste of time for me. I even text others' cell phones via my mobile laptop.

No, I meant the registry on your computer. Windows has a registry where it stores your configuration variables and other settings. It's best that someone not screw around with it unless they know what they're doing. I always go very slow when I have to do anything to mine (which is rare).

I'll see if I can find more information when I get a chance. There might be an easy fix I'm not aware of for IE8. You're probably not the only one who has this problem.

I was trying to post and send an article on one web site and also link to their directory, back and forth. I was told to open the site in a new window and log out and then it would work, and guess what? I ended up losing everything I'd posted! I have very little hair left at this time.
