View Full Version : Hi there!

My name is Maggie, and I'm on draft 2.5 or so of a YA adventure/romance. I guess you could say it's my second novel, though the first didn't make it too far past first draft stage, so I'm not sure if it counts. :) I'm in the process of trying to finish this one up and start attempting to get it out there!
Looking forward to "meeting" you all!

Hi there Maggie, and welcome to AW.

You're in the same boat as me! I've wrote several incomplete manuscripts. . .in the span of ten years. But now that my cubs are grown, I have more time, and have finally finished a manuscript.

Welcome from another newbie! I think the first novel counts--it's sort of a training ground, but an important one. I wasted 10 years trying to perfect the first novel and finally set it aside. now in a year and a half I've written one that is ten times better.
Welcome and good luck with book #2!

Of course it counts. Even though I have doubts about the marketability of my current WIP I have to finish to a certain point for the experience. It sounds like most people don't ever get their first novel published anyway. Keep working!

Welcome, Maggie. My daughter's name is Maggie, and I sometimes call her Magnitute. She has a temper. I have to say I know little bout YA (I write very adult fare), but there are sooooo many folks here that can help and share with you, so you are definitely in the 'write' place. Have fun!
