Blocking IP addresses...

I'd like to be able to block the three or four IP addresses that a particular person uses to read my blog.

My website is Wordpress.org based: is there a plugin which would allow me to do this simply? I've been having a look at what there is and am struggling to find anything that doesn't require me to edit code. My technical expertise doesn't extend much further than installing plugins automatically, and then filling in boxes which appear.

I would appreciate all the help you can give me!

Are you looking to block them from reading, or just from commenting? There is a comments/blacklist setting (I seem to remember) that would allow you to block their IP addresses. That would keep them from commenting.

Wordpress org - so you have the Wordpress software installed on your server? (Rather than using the templated blogs). A quick search came up with this:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/vsf-simple-block/

but I'm not filled with confidence given the caveat on that page. You may want to try it though. Apologies if I've misunderstood your needs or abilities. No doubt someone more knowledgeable will come along.

Of course, even if you manage to filter this person, if they're determined enough they may find a way around it using different IP addresses. But good luck with solving your problem.
