View Full Version : Powerpoint Printing Question - How did this happen?

I'm hoping someone has some insights because I'm baffled.

I made a booklet of old photographs. I saved the pictures into my computer using a film scanner, then pasted the pictures into powerpoint - two across and four down the page. I grouped the final image in powerpoint and put the sheets on a CD. When the print shop printed out my sheets (7), on the last sheet the bottom left picture was inverted - upside down. How the heck can that happen - especially when all the pictures were grouped?

Anyone have any ideas? Puma

What version is it?

Ah, wait, you said it was a print shop who printed them? It would be their software I might be able to help with, but that doesn't help you any :(

What format were they in on the cd? And which version there?

So the print shop's software could have done it?

It seemed like that had to be the case because I checked my CD after I got home to make sure it was all right. It's funny in a way - a whole bunch of 50 year old family photos and the one of my two old maid aunts upside down. (And the one did just about stand us on our heads when she was alive.) Puma

ETA: The pictures were jpegs. I'm not sure what version of Powerpoint - early XP vintage.

Yeah, if you used an older version, there is a bug about them opening it with their software sometimes. Unfortunately, the fix I have a link for is for their computer.

I'm sorry you have upside-down aunties :) :)

Thank you! I just couldn't figure out how one picture (of about fifty) ended up goofed up. If every page had done the same thing, it would have been easier to understand - but one page, one picture seemed weird! Puma
