I've been lurking at various writer's forums ever since I started my WIP, and this one is my favorite by far, so I'm finally joining. Everyone here is friendly and helpful without being afraid to mix it up a bit. My kinda place.
Anyway, hello--the first draft of my first novel (working title: Ridiculously Long Novel) is almost finished. Soon it will be time to concentrate on edits and revisions and rewrites, and then, god forbid, queries and all the rest. Just typing the word 'queries' makes me grimace.
While I was writing, I didn't want to get too stressed-out thinking about the business end of all this (of course I still lurked when I was procrastinating, kind of like I'm doing now...but without the lurking) but I'm almost ready to jump in, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. This is a great place.
