Our fiction editors are swamped! A happy report considering the rest of the economy. We're adding to our network. Details:
Book-Editing.com needs FICTION specialists (mainstream and genre) who can perform ALL of the following services:
-- developmental editing
-- copyediting / line editing
-- proofreading
-- fact checking
Editors work directly with clients and remain freelance/independent contractors. Editors set their rates (average is 2-4 cents per word).
Please review our web site before applying (book-editing.com). Qualified applicants will be sent several short editing and writing tests. Failed tests are not marked and returned. Do not respond if you are not qualified for this exact posting (i.e., you are a nonfiction editor), failed our tests within the past 18 months, or cannot make a 1-year commitment to the network.
If you pass our tests you'll be able to make contact with editors already in the network before deciding to join.

-- may not subcontract projects to other editors
-- must provide all network clients with a feedback form that is returned to the network coordinator
How to apply:
Send resume and list of FICTION books edited (and subsequently published) to apply2010 -at- book-editing.com.
