As I typed that I had a song from Sweeney Todd running through my mind. Huh.

Anyway, I've gotten a brand new blog rolling (well, it's about a month old now, but I just went through and made it look cool today). It's an anime review blog.

I'm just looking for general thoughts on all of it, please. The link is in my signature.

Also, if anyone knows how I can get rid of where it says 'Home' 'Products' and the other things, let me know. It's part of the template and while I figured out how to get rid of some other things, I can't even figure out where that stuff is in the HTML.

Thanks,

Arianna S. :D

Looks great. The big thing I'd do would be to get a handle on your template to get the dummy script off of there. With the content of the empty drop-down menus, it would be easy to dismiss it as a feeder site. You may want to truncate your longer entries with click-throughs (saves the hassle of having to scroll past long entries if the subject is not of interest to the reader).

It looks great! To get rid of the products and other links you have to go into the html code and remove it. You can do it by trial and error - just do a little at a time or contact the person who made your template.

Your blog has great graphics and layout. It also makes it easy for fans to follow you, which I think is important.

One suggestion: can you bold the font a little or make it slightly bigger? It has the potential to get lost among all of your awesome anime graphics.

Good luck!

It really is pretty - it's amazing what one can do with blogger to make it look so polished as yours is, it shows a lot of passion for doing it well. Good job. I agree that the font had my eyes squinted after a post or two.

I do wonder how one drives a readership to a very specific niche favored blog (yes, I know anime is a huge market but blogs about it are for fans and a few curious sorts, not like say - someone blogging about a more general interest or something that you can keyword a broad spectrum and get lots of hits).

looks great every thing ties in well, i find archives and labels a but of a eye sore but thats just me, not every one feels the same way, can you maybe break the blogroll up in to sub catagories? might look a bit cleaner, and can the grey wiget names be orange as well? those are the things i would change but its very hip very morden people know what you are talking about with out even reading that is great! xx

Looks smashing, I don't see any problem with it. :)

Looks great, in general. One quibble: when you click on the "comments" section of a post, thecomments don't open in a separate window. Instead you have to re-scroll all the way down a fairly long post to see the comments. Could you make it so the comments pop up in a separate window?

Other that that, no complaints. It's an original and very eye-catching blog.

That was very cool. Mine looks like a third grader put it together compared to yours. Good luck with it.
