I've been using dual monitors for years now, and one thing I noticed with the Mac Mini I'm getting is that it only supports a single monitor. I can use a single monitor setup, but it's sub-optimal.

So, in the interest of getting a second monitor up and going on the Mini, has anyone any experience with the various USB video adapters out there?

Thanks in advance.

They were dismal failures, but my experience is three years old.

Which Mac Mini are you getting? The current ones (http://www.apple.com/macmini/specs.html) do support dual monitors, both extended desktop, or mirroring.

It's the one I described in the other thread: first gen Intel, so it only has a single DVI port.

It's a little long in the tooth, but it runs Snow Leopard and all it's costing me is to write fourteen auto-responder emails over the next eighteen months, so I really don't want to complain. :)

If I were you, I'd post your question at MacInTouch (http://submit.macintouch.com/).

They're good people there.
