So I am using AW on my new phone, and everything seems to work, except when I go to the User CP page, it's just the top couple of ads and then a bunch of crossed-out nonsense. Viewing the absolutewrite.com/forums page is fine, so are individual subforums, but not User CP. Any advice? The phone is a LG Rumor Touch, the browser is NetFront 3.5.1.

I have the option to download Opera Mini. Does anyone know if AW works well on it?

I haven't tried Opera Mini--what you're seeing are problems with the way javascript is implemented.

Which mobile phone are you on?

Have you tried turning off images in your CP settings? (Sometimes that helps; sometimes it doesn't make any difference) Does your mobile browser have a setting to turn off ALL images? That does work, really really well--and it makes AW quite zippy even on a phone.

I'm on the LG Rumor Touch phone. So apparently, it comes with a lousy browser AND Opera Mini. Both have the option to turn off images, so I may try that. AW seems to work well in Opera Mini, so that is great. If you want to fiddle with it, I think the homepage has an emulator. It has a cool zoom in and out feature, though it is a bit squinty.

Now I just have to figure out how to write on this thing! Three different ways to access Facebook and zero ways to write yourself a dang note over 500 characters!

For the brief time I had web access on my flip phone (Razr), I used Opera Mini and liked it. The parts I didn't like had more to do with my phone and the tiny screen.

Good luck with the writing part :) That's not a bad idea. I wonder if you can sync it with dropbox?

Open a google document?

Or, if all else fails, type yourself a long email (just make sure the webmail is saving every so often)

So after a couple of days fiddling with it, i can say AW works really well in Opera Mini. The main page or a thread page loads in about 8 seconds. I tried switching off images but it was confusing without the smilies or little icons. Its easy to read and post. The only issue i have is after i post a quick reply, it goes to a blank page called newreply.php or something, instead of going to the thread with my new post in it. Anyway, overall i am very happy that AW now lives inside my phone!
