I notice that some of the agents at Andrea Brown accept graphic novels: http://www.andreabrownlit.com/agents.php

Has anyone tried submitting to an agent? And if so, what was the process? Did you just sent the script, or did you send in illustrated pages?

Is it even possible to just send a comic script and try and get it published like you would a manuscript?

Nope, sorry.

You probably want to read through this thread (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127803) if you're interested in submitting to agents. Lots of people talk about their experiences querying and what style of pitches agents respond to best (almost all want at least some finished sample pages included).

Dark Horse, a comic/GN publisher, takes scripts without artwork. Here (http://www.darkhorse.com/Company/Submissions#writers) are their guidelines for writers. Mind you that's a publisher, not an agent.

Plenty of agents will consider you if you have only sample art, but you'd best have some sort of commitment from the artist to complete the book in case an agent expresses interest.

Most agents that look at graphic novels are mostly interested in stuff that's already illustrated. If you only have a script, you either have to find an artist before you submit to many of these agents, or as Miss Plum said, try Dark Horse.
