I am writing a paranormal romance about a two super heroes that fall in love. The MC is a woman superhero with Ice powers... I want my title to embue both her passion for life and her Powers.

Here is a short list of what i am thinking
Sultry Flurries
Snow Drift
Raging Hail
Ice queen

I feel like i havent quite hit the nail on the head help me out.

What's the other superhero's power?

Editor's hat on: I don't hate "Ice Queen", but forget the rest.

Have plenty of standbys and troll friends for more suggestions, or your future editor will slap a name on it that will make you cringe. It almost happened to me. NEVER ask your editor for title suggestions. NEVER!

Ask Rachel Caine for help. She might have an unused title from her Weather Warden series she can spare.

I think you're trying too hard to get the perfect title. "Sultry Flurries" is definitely overreaching. I'm leaning toward all the simple suggestions people have made, like "Iced."

Hot Ice might be my favorite. It's unexpected. (Then again, all my titles are one adjective, one noun.)

I think I found it... Wistful Frost

She harness the powers of Winter so whatever I would like that to entail

You could also ask for help in the 'sandbox' forum on AW.

Ice on Fire

Well, it sounded good in my head.

Just write the story. Sometimes the title will come to you when you're into the manuscript.

And sometimes you give your ms. a title you love and slaved over creating, and the editor hates it and wants to suggest something like, "The Italian Tycoon's Baby Mama."

Then what are you going to do?

A Touch of Frost
A Chance of Frost
(to play on what weather forecasters say)

Storm Queen
(hmm...maybe not)

I liked the Fire and Ice that was suggested before (but that depends on what the male character's powers are).

Other than that, sorry I can't come up with something better. I usually find a title by using a line that's already in my story, something that just sticks out in my mind.

Snowmelt

Doesn't matter if it is one word or not I think. A title is like a name you can make it totally up. Call it Dinglehopper and nobody can naysay you...although that would probably not be good.

I like Melting Point too.

*Frost before the Flame/Fire
*The Frost's Flame/Desire
*Cool Heart's Desire
*Snowbound
*Crystal of Snow :D Probably would work best if her name was Crystal.

Oooh, let us know what you decide on!
