Hiya writer pals. In order for me to start getting my work out there I need to just do it. I did follow-up research on a boys' magazine in order to submit a fictional story. One of those "what's the moral" kind of stories. Anyway, the market that I originally targeted for it, Boy's Life, isn't accepting unsolicited manuscripts. Any ideas for other markets that would use a story like mine. It is best suited for kids ages 8 - 12 yrs. Thanks so much! The story itself is finished, but I'd like to format it according to specs. Thanks again pals! :)

Might want to spend time with Writer's Market and scouring the shelves of a bookstore/magazine store with a large selection. Also talk to local children's librarians, and school librarians.

Boy's Quest, Pockets, Highlights. Depends on themes and whether girls might read it too. See the Magazine Markets for Children. Google magazine and the age group. Check the SCBWI's magazine market listing. See what's on the shelves at your local library an books store.

Good luck.
