Not to bust any bubbles, but if you write/submit to e-zines and mags. you may want to get busy with your Holloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas stuff. Most places want them a few months early. Shoot, might even keep in mind New Years and Valentines too. It always seems that the fall months rush by so fast. :evil Best wishes to you all.

I already sold my Christmas-themed story, to Daily Science Fiction. :) And I sold that one in early summer. So I guess you're right about getting them out early.

You bet! This month, I sold reprint rights to my christmas themed story that was first published two years ago. You can never sell themed things too soon.

Most of the mags I sell to have a six month lag, so my Christmas stories had to go out almost two months ago. It's way too late for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

But you're probably on par for Valentines!

(I do tend to write themed stories at the time of year they're set, but then, that just means I have 3-6 months to polish them before submitting!)

Exactly. The last of my CHristmas stories went out in early July.
