As an aside on the Mayan views of events at the end of the 13th bakatun ( 2012? maybe):

I was looking into the Mayan God L (associated, whatever that means,
with the long-striding god mentioned on an inscription that
mentions events in 2012) when I found the continuing adventures
of the rabbit scribe who sometimes accompanies and sometimes
tricks God L. Apparently the rabbit is a spy working for the Moon Goddess.

So that is the secret origin of Bugs Bunny!

Awesome find, Maxx. Thanks for sharing that! Interesting that the Cosmic Rabbit is a trickster too (which I gather from his thievery).

It might also put the one classic mayan stele that mentions the end of the
13th bakatun into better perspective. The speedy time god who is mentioned on the stele but has no known images could be an aspect of God L who has no name, but lots of images.

And Wikipedia notes (on the topic of God L):

It has been suggested that god L corresponds to that most famous of all Tz'utujil deities, the cigar-smoking 'Grandfather' (Mam) called Maxximon, whose manifold associations include long-distance travel, witchcraft, and jaguars.
