I got a request (squeee!!!), but the agent didn't specify whether to send a full or a partial, what should I send? Also, how do I send it? She asked for it as an attachment, but should I add a cover letter to the email, and if so, what should it say? I'm sorry for all the many questions, I'm pretty new at this, and I'm a little unsure of what to do.
Thanks in advance! :)

I think I'd probably ask the agent exactly what she wants.

First off....congratz.
As an attachment....Pdf is the best way to go. Send it as an attachment in your email. Make sure you have it double spaced and all set up just like you would print it out. In your ref line you should put whatever the agent told you to. Like the name of the book. Make a reference in the email it contains the attachment of requested material. On their site they should have in the submission area this information. Double check.

I would agree with Kateness, email the agent and ask her what her preference is. I wouldn't send it as pdf though. The best way is either .rtf or .doc. From my experiences most prefer these two options as opposed to .pdf.
Congrats and good luck!

Congratulations! Reply to her email, but change the subject line to Requested Material: Name of Manuscript. Send the file in .doc format. In the body of the above above her request, simply put "Per your request, I've attached the manuscript in .doc format. Thank you for your time and consideration."

CONGRATS first off. I would send it as an attachment. I would also do what the others have said and change the title to something like "Information you requested" so it dose not sit in the slush again.

If the agent just said,
"Sounds good, send it along,"
Or something like that, that means he/she would like to see the entire thing.
Congrats. :) (.doc is fine.)

Thank you everyone! I forgot to mention that she did request it as a .doc file, so I sent that along with a short line about sending requested materials, and thanking her for her time. I also pasted the original query in the body of the email, just as a memory jogger, and titled the email Requested Materials: Title.
Fingers crossed!
