It's finished at about 103K words. The first chapter, which needed a lot of work, was fixed up in OWW (my first chapter or chapters always need the most work), but I really need someone willing to read the full story.
Some background:
The working title is Half-Blood, but I could use a better suggestion, as that's too generic, imho. Besides, it's not a vampire story, which is what anything with "blood" in the title seems to suggest. This is an other-world fantasy where predators are "demons" and the highest order of them can take a human secondary form...which is how half-bloods are born. I must admit to watching too much anime of a similar nature, which is what inspired the story; but this isn't all about fighting, although there is that too.
I took this to a different world, though, where I could set the rules and determine the setting, which is not the standard pseudo-medieval European.
Anyway, I'll be glad to send a couple chapters, and go from there for anyone interested in the full story.
