PJ Harvey

I saw a similar thread on Tori Amos, of whom I am a caual fan.

But i'm a huge fan of PJ (Polly Jean) Harvey.

They may be slightly comparable.

But what do you think of PJ

I absolutely adore her CD White Chalk, but I haven't actually heard any of her other music. Which of her past CDs is the best?

Dry, Rid of Me, or To Bring You My Love are her earlier work

UH HUH Her, Stories from the City Stories from the Sea, Is this Desire along with White Chalk are her later work, more refined but still great.

I suggest start at the beginning

but I'm guilty of liking all her work

I love the song Down By The Water.

White Chalk is the first album I bought by her and I love it.

I also have A Woman A Man Walked By and I really like it.

I've tried listening to some of her older albums on her myspace but wasn't really into it, so I guess you could say I'm more a fan of her newer material.
