I have a question! I've got a legend I'm trying to create in my book. The book is a vampire/slayer thing (I wish I had a title!). The legend is about how the slayers came to exist. Just curious where would I post a topic about that? I just want to see if the basic idea I've got makes sense.

I'm not sure I understand the purpose of the post you want to make. Is it that you want to toss ideas around about what the legend might be, how it got started, etc.? Then you'd want The Sandbox. Or is it that you want some critique on what you've written, which is the legend? Then it would be the Share Your Work board for whatever the main genre of your book is--horror, perhaps?

Maryn, hoping this helps

I guess maybe some critique? I haven't gotten to the point where the legend is being explained in the story yet but I just want to see if the basic idea I've got makes sense.

If you need some feedback on your writing, you can post some in our Share Your Work (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26) forum (the password is vista). The critiques can be harsh sometimes ... but honest, so prepare yourself for that. Everyone means well, though. Their goal is to get you the best novel/story/article possible and to get it published.

You could also critique some of the other members' work too. It is surprising how that can help with you own. Check out the how-to guide threads in Main Share Your Work sub-forum, then post your material in one of the genre sub-forums.
