I just found this fascinating. First animal to make chlorophyll. The slug eats algae, and it actually managed to steal the genes and chloroplasts and now can perform photosynthesis on their own.

The genes are passed onto baby slugs (but they still have to steal chloroplasts from the algae)

Just fun..two of my loves (marine biology and horticulture) coming together.

This is the next best thing to when I discovered the two headed snakes! Maybe a third if you count that spider eating a bird.

Thank you, Arya, for that vision of hell. I feel a bit sick now... ;)
