Google image hits after I've removed the photo

I was getting a lot of google image hits on a celebrity picture I had on my blog (from a novel casting post awhile ago). It was really messing up my stats, so I took the photo off yesterday afternoon, but I'm still getting a bunch of hits for it. Is this one of those things that just takes some time to get off of google's search or what? It's driving me bananas!

Google caches stuff for some time. Things don't always disappear forever, and the buffering effect can be of benefit to searchers. Once in a while it's a temporary PITA. It will eventually "forget".

If it is your own site, go to Google Webmaster tools and request it be removed from the cache.

Also, check the code to be sure the reference to Paris H or whomever isn't in your metadata.
